Top Tips for the Morning of Your Wedding

I know it sounds so boring but you really do need be super organized the morning of your wedding and make a plan! The morning of your wedding is a hectic time and the minutes fly by!

Set your clock early

Set your clock a little earlier than you actually need to get up. Try and get outside for some fresh air before the excitement really begins. Play with the dog, stroll around the back garden, take some deep breaths and give yourself some head space!

Have breakfast

I cannot stress this enough; you have got to eat! Lots of brides will be super excited and won’t be able to eat but please try! It is a long day ahead and you will need your energy. Even have a light breakfast; it will be better than nothing at all!

Schedule for the Morning

Once the first alarm goes off it will be all systems go in the house! This is one of the most exciting parts of the day – but also the busiest. Hair and beauty appointments will be scheduled so try to give yourself as much time to get to the salons. If your hairdresser and beauticians are coming to your house have a designated spot ready for them to work at. And of course your bridesmaids need to be ready too!

Emergency Bag

This is a little job you can organize a few days before your wedding (and your bridesmaids can help you with). You don’t have to pack the kitchen sink but don’t leave out hair clips, plasters, tissues, safety pins, nail varnish, lip stick, deodorant and lip balm.

Dress, Shoes, Undies

The day before the wedding lay everything out that you need to get ready the next morning. Shoes, undies, your veil, perfume, make up…… have everything in one place so you (or your bridesmaids) are not running around frantically looking for your bridal shoes!

Chauffer, Photographer, Videographer

As I said early the minutes just fly so soon wedding suppliers may start arriving. This is where your bridal party can help – ask your bridesmaids to liaise with them and keep them updated on timings and other details they will need to know.

Enjoy Yourself

Most importantly – enjoy yourself. The morning of a wedding is such a special time with squeals of excitement, tears of happiness, giggles and lots of love of course.
