Pretty stationery is always a rare treat when we find it. Pinterest is the bible for pretty things not to mention a fantastic directory for everything! But, nothing beats the touch of thick textured paper with some beautiful letterpress printing.
Lately, we’ve been noticing a trend in pretty, organic looking fonts on wedding invites. We’ve noticed more and more people are putting effort into their stationery in Ireland as of late. While on American and UK blogs we often see endless pictures of divine ‘save the dates’, it seems us Irish folk are slowly but surely catching up! We hope it’s a trend to watch out for in the next few years in Ireland, in our eyes, there’s nothing better than receiving some beautiful invites. It really does set an exciting tone, not to mention shows everyone the amount of detail you’ve put into the day.
Your wedding stationery is the first impression your guests will have about your wedding, so it’s important to get it just right! Good stationery should be ordered at least 4 to 5 months if possible and obviously taken care of by a professional. While DIY jobs look amazing online, but may not always turn out that way. In my personal opinion, stationery should be handled by someone who knows what they are doing. Unless you’re a Graphic Designer, it’s more than likely you could end up with a pile of card and glue in the corner of your kitchen. Or worse, a scary looking Word Document!
