Wedding Fitness: Sticking To Those New Years Resolutions

Today being the 3rd of January means we are well and truly into the new year of 2013! A fresh new year brings the new years resolutions we all plan to carry out. What are your new years resolutions? Are you planning on making changes to improve your wedding fitness? If you are anything like me, you will have tried to to clear all the Christmas treats out of the house (even if you did eat them all in the process!) in order to return to healthy eating and are now making an attempt to start exercising again!

For many of you brides to be welcoming the year of 2013 may have also meant welcoming the year which your wedding will take place! Exciting and busy times ahead! If you are getting married this year you should kickstart your fitness regime as early in the year as your possibly can as the earlier you motivate yourself the easier it will be!

Here are some tips to get you started:

Get Enough Sleep

January is a quiet month as we all need to recover from the festive season! Make the most of it by ensuring you are getting enough sleep every night. If your wedding day is soon approaching this is even more important as you will need all your energy during your wedding planning.

Drink Plenty of Water

This ancient tip is one not to overlook! Drinking plenty of water will not only keep you hydrated it will curb your hunger (sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger!) and will ensure your skin is looking its best. Everyone loves to see a glowing bride!

Hit The Pavement

Put on your runners and get into the outdoors! You don’t have to carry out a 10K run every day, a fast power-walk a few times a week can even do the trick! Why not find an exercise buddy such as a bridesmaid who might also like to lose a few pounds or tone up before the big day!

Plan Ahead

Planning your meals is the key to healthy eating success. Decide what you are going to eat for the week ahead and write a list of what you will need BEFORE you do your grocery shopping. Then make sure it is just what’s on the list that’s going into the shopping trolley!
