Wedding Gift Ideas That are a Hoot!

If you’re a guest at a wedding, there is probably a chance at some stage that you will have a mini panic attack over your wedding gift ideas. The easy answer to any wedding gift is nearly always home décor. Chances are, if you know them and have been in their home, you have a good idea of what they already like.

If they are the fun loving and quirky type, why not get them something that’s a little more fun. Owls seem to be popping up everywhere lately and the trend has definitely moved on to home décor. Recently, I noticed that without my conscious knowledge, I had purchased three owl themed décor items for my home!

Definitely a trend that isn’t going anywhere soon, owls can be anything from whimsical to romantic or clever. Etsy is always my first port of call when it comes to handmade gifts.

Quick Tips for Buying Wedding Gifts

  • Always get a gift receipt where possible. Ask what the returns policy is of the shop you purchase the gift from.
  • When in doubt, give the couple money. Although they may not ask for it, if you know the couple well enough, you’ll know what they would prefer.
  • Find out if they have a gift list. If they do, it’s your chance to get them something you know they want!
  • If you have no clue what to get them at all, try and find out what they are doing for their honeymoon. Maybe you can upgrade their package with the hotel, send champagne to their room or give them a voucher for an activity there. They will be delighted with your thoughtful surprise!
