Wedding Hair and Beauty Trends for 2014

Glamity Jane is back with a bang in the New Year with some amazing wedding hair and beauty trends for 2014….

It isn’t every bride that like a classic chignon and a ‘barely there’ make-up for their big day. Traditional bridal looks while classic are not every bride’s cuppa so let’s have a nosy at two not so traditional looks that I think will be big in 2014.
The braid is all over Instagram and Twitter as the most sought after look for this season and does this translate to a bride? You betcha’! Braids come in many forms and this is not your common garden French plait or fishbone this is more grown up, trendier and definitely more vava-voom.

When super bride Millie Macintosh sported the style I knew it was going to be big business. Millie opted for the crown braid which caressed the crown lovingly. The reason this style is becoming popular is because more and more brides are opting not to have a veil and the braid creates the perfect ornate piece on the head. A few fresh flowers or diamond clips are the accessory of choice.
Moving to bridesmaids a gently pulled braid or crown braid suggests a trendy Notting hill type bridesmaid that you would expect to see in a satin barely there dress and biker boots.

Next up is winged eyeliner, big business for all us mortals for 2014 but even more so for brides. Liquid or gel liner deepens the lash line. The flick can add a certain edginess to make up particularly if the bride doesn’t ordinarily wear a lot of eye make-up so think Kate Moss with that famous liquid liner. It is brilliant for that Hollywood glamour look especially if you are more into lips and eyes. It adds a certain polished look. Watch out for these trends in hair and make-up! Big business!
