Wedding Hair: Hair Extensions Do or Don't?

How does the hair of our favourite celebs always look perfect? Sure they have hair stylists on call almost every day but the other answer often is hair extensions! Many women toy with the option of wearing hair extensions on their wedding day, have you thought about it?

Hair extensions not only add length but work really well for adding volume too. Which is why more people are beginning to wear them even if they are styling their wedding hair in an updo. The thought of insert extensions can be scary to some, we all have seen our fair share of disaster celeb hairstyles… But they aren’t to be feared! Clip in hair extensions are ideal for your wedding day as they are easy to insert, affordable and surprisingly natural looking. There are stores which now specialise in extensions which is great because the saleswoman can help you pick out the exact style and colour to suit your hair. Tell her the look you are trying to achieve and she will be able to tell you how many packets you might need etc.

When you are going to have your hair trial done I would suggest you bring along the extensions. A professional hairdresser will know exactly how to insert them properly and will make sure that they suit your hair accordingly. This also gives you a chance to get a feel for the extensions and make sure you feel comfortable with them in. The last thing you need is for them to feel awkward on the morning of the wedding!

If it’s a case you decide they just aren’t for you, don’t fret. There is nothing to say you need to be wearing hair extensions to create the ultimate bridal hairstyle. Your hairdresser will be more than happy to go through wedding hairstyles that can be created with your hair just the way it is and have it looking as beautiful as ever!
