For most people, planning a wedding is usually a first time experience. Going through your wedding plans will naturally lead to some hiccups. But, knowing the some simple tips will help you along the way. Here are some wedding planning basics to keep in mind.
Using Your Whole Attire Budget on Your Dress
You may have set aside a certain amount for your look. That doesn’t mean you can’t use the whole amount for the gown! You need to consider fitting costs or shipping charges, undergarments, shoes, accessories or any other unforeseen costs.
Sending out Your Invites too Early
As soon as you have your wedding date set, it might be tempting to start sending out invites straight away. But, having final numbers is more important. And the further away your wedding date is, the more likely there will be some add on guests.
Telling Everyone
If you’re excited about something, it can be hard not to share. But often, the more you share, the more you will invite other’s opinions. And while they may think they are being helpful, it will no doubt be a little frustrating. Instead, why not wow your guests by surprising them.
Rushing Through Your Wedding Photos
Make sure you give adequate time to your wedding photos. Rushing your photos through a half hour of the drinks reception will mean you won’t have enough time and certainly won’t put you at ease. Not being comfortable will show through in the photos. And if don’t want to see each other before the ceremony, make sure you both get shots of you too getting ready.
Hiring a Friend Instead of a Professional
Sure, your friend makes a killer mix CD, or they can take some amazing photos but does that make them a photographer or DJ? Even if you have a tight budget, substituting a supplier for a friend won’t do.
