A little wedding porn to kick off your Tuesday! While shopping for much more mundane trainers, a few pairs of bridal shoes caught my eye:
You can wear a simple, inexpensive pair of flats of slippers under the all-important dress, and lots of brides do – after all, not that many people are going to be paying attention to your feet. On the other, err, hand… bridal footware is one department where a lot of women choose to indulge their love of shoes and run a little wild under the gown.
Left to right, top to bottom, these are the four pairs that made me ooh and ahh: The Alexander McQueen platforms are what Cinderella would wear if she was 4″ shorter than Prince Charming and are a complete class act – as they should be with a $1,232 price tag. Slightly less money at $250 but with even more bling, Shannon Britt’s Ashleigh shoe is embellished with Swarovski crystals and has a 3.5″ heel.
Apparently, I’m a cheap date because my favourites are the rather conservative, classic Giuseppe Zanotti slingbacks, an on-sale bargain at $218. Though at just $257, I’d be totally tempted by the metallic snakeskin Cameron from Juicy Couture. (No wedding is a good enough reason to stop my affair with Juicy accessories.)
Zappos ships internationally, although there’s a $40 charge for overseas orders. Frankly, a lot of their stuff is so much less than you would pay for it here, I think it’s worth it for a special ocassion – like say, your wedding!
