Home is where the heart is…
For Ash and John, keeping things local and close to home for their traditional wedding meant the world to them. This was a huge factor in choosing suppliers that were extra special – including a venue where they celebrated all the important milestones in their relationship.
After first meeting in their local shop, as the saying goes – the rest was history for this smitten pair. In December 2012 on a family trip to Australia, John decided it was the perfect time to pop the question surrounded by their loved ones.
“We booked a romantic Christmas Cruise in advance and about an hour into the ride, the sun was setting and I asked Ash to follow me on to the bow of the boat. Here, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. Needless to say, word spread fast throughout the ship and the celebrations commenced!!”
“Springfort Hall has always been a key part of our relationship. From Valentine’s Day to anniversary dinners, we would always mark our special occasions there. So, it felt right the first time we called and met with Marcella our Wedding Coordinator. The surrounding gardens and fields are picturesque to say the least. Plus with Springfort Hall being a family-run hotel, we knew we would get the personal attention every bride and groom should get while planning their wedding.”
“There were many many WOW factors! To name a small few; the food, the intimate setting inside and outside the hotel plus the relaxed atmosphere. Everyone felt at home from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.”
“The Slow Cooked Beef in Springfort Hall was amazing and guests are still talking about it a few months on!!!”
“Our photographer Sean Jefferies was so professional and thorough, it was a pleasure to work with him. He asked us what photos we had in mind and also shared some of his own ideas and advice. We got a great selection of photos from fun and quirky to special moments together and with family. We have and will continue to highly recommend Sean to future wedding couples.”
“We had some really, really special moments throughout our day at Springfort Hall. The highlight was being announced into the banqueting hall by my brother as the new Mr & Mrs Condren. To hear all of our family and friends cheering us on was thrilling.”
Thanks to Ash and John for sharing their special day with us and to their photographer Sean Jefferies for allowing us to publish these memories. You can see more of his work at www.seanjefferiesphotography.com
