Wedding Tip Tuesday- Bridal Shoes

Welcome to another Wedding Tip Tuesday, where we dish out some our best tips for you! We love shoes here at WeddingDates but everyone feels differently about them. Some of us love to go all Carrie Bradshaw on a daily basis while others might prefer to reserve the heels for a special occasion.

Whether heels are your thing or not, having the right bridal shoes on your wedding day is crucial to your comfort! That’s why we’ve put together the tips to get you through the longest heel day of your life!

  • How long is your dress? Will you be able to see very high shoes underneath?
  • Why not make a statement with your shoes? Try pairing a shoe colour with your wedding theme.
  • Think about the height of your heels along with the time frame that you will be wearing them. Normally, weddings last 12+ hours so consider how long you will be able to withstand wearing high heals for.
  • Big careful taking off heels- once they’re off, they may not go back on! Your feet will more than likely swell a little from the day so if you’re taking them off why not swap them for a chic ballet pump? Plus, there’s no rule that you can’t stick to flats for the day!
  • Bring your dress or the same material with you when shoe shopping to match up the colours (different shades of cream can be quite obvious if not matched up correctly)
  • Can’t decide between both pairs of shoes- buy them both! That way you’ll have a back up incase you change your mind leading up to the day. Avoid buyer’s remorse and ask what their return policy is.
  • Last but not least, wear them in! Every shoe is different but the recommended time is at least 3 hours worth of breaking in!
