Welcome to another Wedding Tip Tuesday! Often the aspect of a wedding that can get left behind in wedding planning, table décor is usually at the end of the list for many Irish weddings. Favours and seat covers can very often end up typically bland and quite samey at weddings so if you want something a little more you for the same price try the age old technique of bargain hunting!
Is your summer wedding a 2014 one? The best thing to do is buy everything out of season. Stores like Debenhams and Brown Thomas are always trying to flog off out door candles and other décor by September because they’re already warming up for Christmas season! Same exact thing goes for winter weddings! Ebay and Etsy brilliant for unique finds but also try your local SVP shop or Irish Cancer Society for interesting décor bargains.
Keep an eye out for lines you like and wait for them to go on sale. And they don’t all have to be graced from Brown Thomas, we love Carolyn Donnelly‘s new collection at Dunnes Stores! The best thing about regular brands for designers at Debenhams is that they’ll usually repeat or keep a style for a long time in their lines, especially if it has been popular.
So if you see a cute tea cup or frame that could make for décor, snap it up! Maybe you’ll be able to use it in your some afterwards?
