Mismatched Bridesmaids
This year there will be no holding back when it comes to bridesmaids and colour! If you can’t choose a colour choose several! Your bridesmaids can wear different coloured dresses, wear shoes of varying colours and have great fun with their flowers. Mixed and Matched is where its at!
Lounge Areas
Lounge Areas will really come into their own in 2013. Brides and grooms will create comfy and cool lounge areas either indoors or outdoors for their guests. These can be part of the drinks reception or as a separate area away from the dance floor, where guest can relax and mingle. If you are planning on having a photobooth, a lounge area is the perfect place to have it.
Beer Tasting
Microbrews and craft beers will really make an appearance this year. The boys will love this trend! There are so many great beers to choose from so why not create a ‘tasting” station.
Food Carts
Food carts such as ice cream carts, pop corn stands and hot dog stations will also feature, making food more fun and interactive at weddings this year. If you don’t fancy these for your wedding day they may be a fun idea for the post wedding celebrations!
Birds
Birds….. yes I said birds! Birds will be part of this year’s wedding trends. Bird cages will be part of your wedding decor, love birds will be seen on wedding stationery, bird’s nests, feathers and eggs will feature as décor, favours and cake toppers!
DIY Wedding
DIY brides will be forever popular but I think now brides are a lot more savvy when it comes to “DIY – ing”. Pinterest, blogs and websites are full of helpful hints and ideas. Bride are also a lot more cost and time conscious now which is great as its so important to weigh up the money you save on doing things yourself against the time it will take.
