Wedding Mood Board: DIY Beauty

Today it is all about lotions and potions in our wedding mood board made up of all things DIY beauty. We love the pretty colours and luxurious materials available in the world of beauty products.

The choices are endless when it comes to the various colours and scents found in beauty products on the market. A favourite of mine is anything that contains rose water. You do not necessarily have to spend a fortune on beauty products. I would of course never say no to one or two Creme De La Mer lotions! There are plenty of home-made scrubs and lotions you can make from items you would usually have in your home. Ingredients like coconut oil and avocado are all excellent leave in conditioners for your hair. Sugar and salt forms an excellent base for any scrub and many spices have a natural anti-inflammatory property to them. Natural yoghurt will soothe any skin irritation to name but a few ideas.

This is a great way to get those DIY hands in action! The majority of items in the beauty mood board are home-made too so take your time to soak it all up!

The following ingredients all make for a good home made spa experience:

  • Cucumbers
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Coconut Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Rose water
  • Papaya
  • Natural Yogurt
  • Avocado
