The Beginning

“I never set out in the beginning to be a wedding co-ordinator, it just kind of happened over my years at Ballymaloe. I’ve been here 13 years and have been involved in weddings for 10 of those years.”

The Highlights

“Being there on the day and seeing couples hard work and time turn into such a beautiful day.  You are with them from the start and each step along way, so to see them married and continue seeing them enjoy all there ‘Firsts’ as a married couple… greeting their guests, dinner, cutting their wedding cake and their first dance.”

The charm and individuality of both Ballymaloe House and Ballymaloe Grainstore offer couples a traditional Irish wedding whilst enjoying the luxuries of a modern wedding venue.  Ballymaloe House holds a civil license and civil ceremonies or marriage blessings can also be arranged at the house.

All-inclusive wedding packages ensure that organising your wedding day at Ballymaloe House is an easy, enjoyable and relaxing experience.  I believe the wedding planning should be as enjoyable as the special day itself.”

A Word of Advice

“My advice is enjoy the planning and the build-up too (not just the day). Include your parents and invest in a good photographer, taking time selecting one, as you will treasure your photos for years to come.”

Fond Memories

“All of our Weddings are memorable as we are so unique, no two Wedding are the same.”

Current Trend

“Bespoke drinks stations i.e Gin Bars, His & Her Cocktails, Long Floor Length Table runners and greenery as opposed to flowers and napkin details such as ribbons or small flower or herb detail. Bride and groom entrance to the venue… more dramatic the better.”

Favourite Trends

I couldn’t say I have a favourite or not, every aspect of a wedding is unique to the couple and special to them.  What is for one person may not work for the other, I’m always excited to see something new or go back to a more traditional style.

The Strange or Unique

Nowadays nothing is strange, every time something new comes in all I think is.. “that be trending soon”.
