Castle Dargan Resort has been given a spectacular make-over that is sure to impress! The Ormsby Ballroom has been perfectly refurbished and the results are remarkable with dazzling colour schemes, contemporary designs and classical themes.
The make-over of the Ormsby Ballroom was led by the dedicated wedding team at Castle Dargan, Kim Monaghan Award Winning Wedding Coordinator, Matthew McDonagh Food & Beverage Manager and Imelda Scally Banqueting Manager.
The talented trio came up with the plans and designs of the Ormsby Ballroom and everyone was truly impressed with the final design concepts. The contemporary colour schemes for the walls include greys, silvers and white while the new carpet is a mixture of burgundy and beige patterns with a luxurious deep red border.
Another excellent addition to the Ormsby Ballroom is the improved lighting which compliments the stunning panoramic views of Castle Dargan’s 170 acre countryside estate. Imelda Scally, Banqueting Manager explains: “We have installed special LED lighting now which can be co-ordinated to suit different colours to give the Ormsby Ballroom the perfect setting”. The new special LED lighting can be co-ordinated to match backdrop colours, bridesmaid dresses or to match a unique overall wedding theme. Imelda has been the Banqueting Manager at Castle Dargan for the past 3 years and prides herself with personalising the Ormsby Ballroom with each wedding couple for their special day.
One of the first events in the Ormsby Room after the refurbishment was a wedding of 270 guests. That was the biggest function since the make-over and everyone was thrilled with the room. Matthew McDonagh Food & Beverage Manager explains: “The wedding team at Castle Dargan are committed to combining excellent cuisine and service in a beautiful location for every wedding day”. Matthew has worked at Castle Dargan Resort for three years and has an exceptional banqueting team behind him ensuring an incomparable service for all weddings held at Castle Dargan.
Kim Monaghan, Award Winning Wedding Coordinator at the Castle Dargan said that the response to the refurbishment has been fantastic. She added: “We are very proud of the outcome. I am really looking forward to showing all wedding couples the stunning make-over”.
Kim has been the Wedding Coordinator at Castle Dargan for four years and has achieved the prestigious award Wedding Coordinator of Year 2014 at the wedding online awards. She added: “I take great pleasure in working closely with each wedding couple, to ensure their vision, not only meets but exceeds expectations for a truly memorable and unique wedding day in Castle Dargan”.
