Planning a wedding will be a time in your life you will never forget. Exciting, thrilling and scary all at the same time. While it may be exciting, because you may have not had the experience before, it can also be a little daunting. Here are some expert tips for planning a wedding.
Be Our Guest
Your guests are what will make up your wedding. Have good indication of the numbers before settling on your wedding venue. Generally, allow 25-30 square feet per guest. That may seem like a lot but it will also be counting space for tables, waiters, the band and your dance floor.
Conflicting Dates
Before deciding on a date, know ahead of time if it will fall on any events that may conflict with it. Events at the reception, trade shows, local events, family anniversaries or birthdays. Any of these may affect your guest numbers as well as hotel rooms or parking.
Keep Track of Everything
If you have been given a special offer or have come to a special agreement, get it in writing. Send a quick email saying, “Just confirming that we will have the venue open until 3 a.m. instead of 1 a.m.” While we’re not saying you can’t trust anyone, by the time the day rolls around, the person who promised this may not be there to confirm it.
