Great Gatsby themed hen nights and weddings seem to be taking over our Pinterest boards lately… and that is perfectly fine with us! Now that the excitement over The Great Gatsby film has settled we have to say we’re still in love with the look. This look is just as fun for guests as it is for a wedding theme. Add a little Art Deco to your wedding look with cakes, long dresses, pretty paper and pin curled hair! Here are a few tips on getting the look just right:
Accessories
These are a must! Full embellishment of rings, broaches and necklaces are crucial to this look. Costume jewelry is just perfect for this!
Hair
Add plenty of volume to this look with texture and volume. If your hair has a natural wavy texture to it play it up with dry shampoo. Otherwise lock your hair around a 1/2 inch curling iron for a finger wave texture. Be sure to lightly brush the curls out after for a wavy appearance.
Makeup
Heavy layers of eyeliner topped with dark grey eyeshadow with a little hint of grey just under the lid is a sure way to get this look. Eyebrows are high, thin and arched and usually drawn in with a pencil. If you’re blessed with beautiful full brows, try covering them with nose putty or soap. Use a concealer to blend in with your natural skin tone and get drawing! Complete the look with red lips and a touch of blush to your cheekbones.
