We ain’t afraid to admit it – we have always firmly been on Team Jen! America’s sweetheart has held a place in our hearts ever since she appeared on Friends as the spoiled but totally lovable Rachel Green. But what impresses us the most about Jen besides her down-to-earth nature and charming humour is her independent spirit and failure to bow down to the pressures of society and the media.
When Brad got with Angie, the world waited with baited breath as the stunning actress moved from relationship to relationship. Would she ever find love and marry again? Somehow it become acceptable for society to think that her life wasn’t complete as a single lady. Jen staying true to herself, followed her own path telling Glamour Magazine “If I’m the emblem for ‘This is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ then so be it. It’s fine. I can take it. I can make fun of myself. And I’ll bring it up as long as the world is bringing it up.” We actually couldn’t love her any more.
So we were delighted to hear that our favourite gal and her beau Justin Theroux married in a secret ceremony at their home – according to reports. Once again on her own terms and away from prying eyes. We say good on her. Although obviously we were going to spend all day dreaming of what her wedding dress would look like!
Jen’s Signature Style
One of the world’s biggest fashion icons, Jen can do no wrong in the style department. Her sleek and simple style never ages but is always on the money in the trend stakes. We regularly see her hitting the red carpet in figure-hugging strapless gowns – highlighting those amazingly toned arms. We suspect she will play to her strengths opting for a wedding dress of a similar style. This seems to be the design where she is at her most comfortable and glowing with radiance. A Sassi Holford gown would be the perfect choice for the Marley actress or if she fancies a more demure look the Paloma Blanca number by Mikaella Bridal would be equally breath-taking.
That Oscars 2013 Dress
The show-stopper – the one that blew us all away. Jen rocked the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards in a daring Valentino number. The tight bodice and flowing skirt accentuated her figure perfectly. We think this Sassi Holford creation would be a fitting tribute to the dress that put out all the stops.
Understated Elegance
The Carolina Herrera bridal tux is the hottest trend for brides getting married in Spring/Summer 2016. Jennifer is known for donning svelte and sexy suits over the years and we think she looks fabulous in them. We suspect Jen could also opt for an androgynous two-piece to break tradition and look more edgy during her second trip up the aisle. A strong, defined and sophisticated look will be a perfect match to showcase her personality.
