We are so glad to share Linda & Sean’s special day with you! The couple married in Cork and celebrated their reception in the fabulous Dromhall Hotel, Killarney. The beautiful day was captured by Eileen O Connor Photography.
“We have been together since 2005 and we got engaged on March the 16th in our sitting room at home on our anniversary. Our wedding took place on the 2nd of August . We chose the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Cork for the ceremony and our reception took place in the fabulous Dromhall Hotel, Killarney.”
“We fell in love with the Dromhall Hotel straight away, it is such a great location for us. We previously attended a social event there and we knew straight away that this was the hotel for us! The food and staff were all amazing. Their fabulous stairwell in the reception area stood out for me so much and made me think of my own wedding day straight away.”
“I was planning the wedding for two years. We got engaged on the 16th of March 2012 and started planning almost straight away! I loved every single bit of it. We had no problems with anyone and everyone we encountered was just unbelievably helpful. The time absolutely flew, so I am glad I took a long time to plan, because in the week coming up to wedding I had time to relax.”
“We chose the Platinum Package from the Dromhall Hotel for our wedding menu. The fabulous 4 course meal was a hit with everyone and they were all were so impressed with the quality . The Starter was a choice of Chicken, Mushroom & Sweet Pepper Fricassee or Pithivier of Black Pudding . Everyone enjoyed some lovely vegetable soup for our second course. The Mains included Roast Sirloin of Irish Beef or Roast Cod Fillet. Dessert was a beautiful medley of Meringue, Chocolate Delice, Baileys & Malteser Cheesecake, Tuille Biscuit & Mango Passion Fruit Sorbet. It was all amazing!”
“I didn’t really follow any particular trends or ideas, I wanted a simple wedding. My favourite element was the colour theme of purple and cream that I went by, my bridesmaid’s dresses were purple. I had cream and purple flowers for my bouquet and my lovely bridesmaids had cream flowers. We wanted a soft and romantic feel to the day.”
“My photographer Eileen, took photos in the golf club, which was an amazing place to take photos. We also had lovely photos in the hotel reception area and the beautiful stair well. The day was fabulous and the photos in the golf club were superb.”
“My wedding dress was a Mori Lee dress. It was a strap dress with diamond details on the top half and on the hip. It was satin ivory and fitted with a small flair on the bottom. I bought the dress in Virginia Bridal, Limerick, it was such a comfortable dress and I loved it.”
“Every bit of the day was amazing, but if I could relive any part I would have to say the reception was the best, as I got to relax a bit and wasn’t as nervous. The whole day was brilliant and everything went so well. I would also love to relive walking down the aisle, because I was so nervous I can hardly remember it and I would love to have seen my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle.”
