It’s not every day that an Irish bride is lucky enough to have some sunshine on her wedding. So seeing couple Siobhan Murphy and Ciaran Stewart’s big day come to life in these photos fills us with absolute joy. This stunning July 2013 wedding was shot by Jared Przemek Macias, captures an incredible day at Maryborough House Hotel. This is a Real Wedding we could read over and over again…
“My dress was an ‘Amanda Wyatt’ gown and I found it in Belladonna Bridal in Galway… I loved it! It was exactly what I wanted; elegant, with some detail and I loved the bottom half of the dress as it added some fun to it! I did love my crystal Louboutins too!”
“The bridesmaid dresses are from the Dessy collection in shades of rose and palamino and were purchased from Helena Quinlan Bridal in Craughwell, Co.Galway. I had these colours in mind for ages and knew they would be perfect for a summer wedding and my beautiful bridesmaids.”
“The organisation of the bridesmaid’s dress was tricky because of all our locations. I live in Offaly and had a Cork wedding, while they live in Galway, Dubai and Jersey. I found myself having to go online to find stockists of The Dessy collection in Dubai and Jersey and sending the girls there to get accurate measurements. But it all worked out in the end and they looked stunning!”
“My sons, Darragh and Eoghan, loved every second of the day and were so excited in the run up to it. They were so proud to be involved and looked so cute in their little suits and converse! We included their names on our wedding invitations and you should have heard the squeals of excitement when they saw them! On the day they travelled with us from the church to Maryborough House Hotel and Darragh fell sound asleep on the way…. Exhausted from the excitement!”
“We had our ceremony in The Lough Church, where I had my First Communion and Confirmation, was the location for our wedding ceremony. It is a beautiful church in the middle of the city but there is something very peaceful about it.”
“We had our reception at Maryborough House Hotel and from the minute we walked into Maryborough House for our wedding show around we were impressed and it just had to be there! Having lived in Cork until recently we regularly visited Maryborough House for family occasions but we really had no idea how special it was going to be for our wedding.”
“We looked at several venues in Cork but fell in love with Maryborough House from the beginning. The gardens, the ballroom, the suites, the menu choices – everything was just what we wanted. Niamh looked after us and she was incredibly good to us and we can’t thank her enough. Her professionalism and attention to detail were brilliant.”
The sun shone on the day and we had our drinks reception in the garden with the Jazz Jackets playing in the background. It was heaven. Lots of friends and family travelled from Galway, Offaly and Dubai to the wedding and are still talking about the beautiful setting, the gardens, the delicious food, the luxurious bedrooms and the excellent service.”
“One of the many high points of the day was looking around and sensing the relaxed atmosphere of our guests sipping champagne in the gardens in glorious sunshine at Maryborough House…… memories which will never be forgotten.”
