Something BLU? Radisson Cork, Wedding Information Day

One of my favourite wedding venues in Cork is the Radisson BLU Hotel, which mixes old and new so well. The key to the Radisson’s charm and character as a wedding venue is Ditchley House, a restored Victoria-era country home seamlessly blended with the hotel’s modern design.

It’s pretty rare to have a stately home within a stone’s throw of the city centre, but Ditchley House and grounds are the perfect backdrop for your wedding album. It has a gorgeous sweeping staircase, grand entrance hall and the nine luxurious rooms also serve as an ideal venue for the more intimate wedding, seating up to 40 people in style and elegance. If your numbers are larger, then you can have the Great Island ballroom where up to 400 guests can party the night away!

The Radisson only does one wedding per day, so you have their exclusive attention and the best thing about this venue is that they are really flexible. Couples can pick and choose the elements they want for their day, smaller parties can exclusively use Ditchley House while others may choose to host their drinks reception there before moving on to the ballroom. If the weather is as good as it has been lately, the croquet lawn is also available for drinks receptions. Did anyone say cucumber sandwiches?!

The Radisson BLU Hotel & Spa, Cork will have a Wedding Information Day this Sunday, the 30th of May. Where you can view the wedding room set-up, and meet with the Wedding Co-ordinators who will go through all wedding packages with you. Go on, go check it out, from 40 to 400 guests, this is one Cork Wedding Hotel you really want to see!
