There are plenty of ways to trim the fat off of wedding expenses, especially with fun DIY and crafty brides on Pinterest. But there are also a few aspects your wedding can do without entirely that won’t make you feel like, well that you’ve done without! Here are some things you can go without and have a great wedding!
Wedding Season
Even in a country like Ireland, where the mood of the weather is pretty interchangeable, seasons and days of the week still effect pricing. A Saturday June/July wedding will always cost the most, while a mid-week April or November wedding will probably have different prices. Since Ireland could pretty much have any kind of weather thrown at it, we say try not to invest in a date based on possible weather conditions.
The Guest List
Really think about your guest list for a moment. Do you really want to have the lady that does your mom’s hair there? You might have met her once if ever! The best way to save on money is to keep your list air-tight. It also means you have to track less responses.
A Second Invite
When was it decided that we need to remind people about our wedding day? While invites are always the most costly part of the day, they do take up a lot of time. Why not send a quick email or make a phone call to confirm numbers instead?
