Long after these celebrity weddings have come and gone, they will always be imprinted in our memories. The ones that have truly set trends for us, the ones that have rocked the world, the ones that still somehow make their way into wedding conversations. Here are some of the most iconic celebrity weddings ever.
Britney Spears and Keven Federline
Three words: Pink velour tracksuits. This seems to sum up 2004 and Britney’s cringe worthy wedding. Although not entirely her fault as they had to move up their date to avoid the paparazzi. Despite that, Britney made some other very poor fashion choices, like a short see-through reception dress. This may have been the beginning of a lot of bad choices for Britney but this was one that rocked our world.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rosdale
That pink ombre dress (way before ombre was even a thing) gives Gwen some serious points for being true to herself. We also kind of loved that she put that edgy pink gown with a classic red rose cake. Stunning!
Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi
Simple, chic and purely romantic are the thoughts that come to mind when we think of Ellen and Portia’s wedding. This will always be a wedding that is truly iconic to us because of so many personalised elements. From the fact that they had their dogs there on the day to them sitting instead of standing during the ceremony. This wedding is just completely amazing!
Prince William and Kate Middleton
Every once in a while, there comes a union that the whole world stops to watch. And since Prince Charles and Lady Diana’s day, the world hasn’t experienced an event as widely witnessed as this. There are so many elements of this wedding that have started massive trends, from Kate’s beautiful lace dress to the floral headbands of their flower girls. Although because of the fact of it being a royal wedding, it was over the top (and there probably wasn’t much room to out a personal stamp on the day), there still were stunning elements to the day.
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince
While Kate Middleton’s day was a little over the top and super formal, we like to think that if Kate Middleton married a rockstar, this would be the boho chic version of her big day. Their wedding theme was English garden with flower children in fresh floral crowns, a buttercream wedding cake and a vintage Gatsby-esque wedding dress. Uhhhhhh… We are drooling!
