10 Truly Unique Irish Wedding Venues With That Extra Wow Factor

Because some brides are just born with alternative kick-ass style in their veins.

When it comes to wow factor, the Irish wedding scene has seriously upped its game over the last two years. Catering to the onslaught of engaged couples seeking something a notch above your average ballroom celebration, the industry has ditched tradition and embraced change.

With each wedding more distinctive than the next, we decided to share some of our favourite alternative wedding venues in Ireland right now. If you’re searching for something one-of-a-kind, you’ll definitely want to take note of these spectacular settings.

Titanic Belfast

Our inner 10-year-old self is literally dying right now. Yes, you can actually get married at Titanic Belfast and strike a pose in front of a replica of the world’s most famous staircase! Inspired by the Titanic’s opulent interiors, we couldn’t think of anywhere more romantic to steal a kiss as newlyweds, just like Kate and Leo did in the movie. Swoon! The iconic building offers a breathtaking range of contemporary settings for you to choose from, including The Titanic Suite, exclusive hire of the SS Nomadic and a pre-dinner drinks reception on The Bridge offering panoramic views of The Titanic slipways, Belfast Lough and Cavehill beyond.

Langton House Hotel

Langton House Hotel will steal a piece of your heart. Totally unassuming from the exterior, this wedding venue packs a mighty punch inside. With jaw-dropping interiors and a different surprise lying around each corner, it is guaranteed to leave your guests in awe. Situated in the medieval city of Kilkenny, the luxurious four-star hotel is bursting with character with the spectacular Langtons Ballroom boasting impressive 20ft ceilings, ornate cornicing and intricate hand-painted wallpaper – perfect for an art deco style NYE bash! But it’s the Set Theatre that really steals the show for a civil ceremony at Langton House. A truly one-of-a-kind setting created by London-based designer, David Collins, it must be seen to be truly appreciated.

Langton House is delighted to launch their Winter Wedding Sale for new bookings in January and February 2018. Price on request. Call Seán on 056 7765133 for more details or to book an appointment at Leinster’s Top Rated Venue.
