Wedding Bouquets: Alternatives to Fresh Flowers

It is traditional for a bride to carry her wedding bouquet as she walks down the aisle to meet her groom. Many brides may picture their wedding bouquet as a bunch of fresh flowers in the style and colour of her chosen theme but there are other alternatives to consider.

If you use your imagination there are many different materials that can be used to create a fabulous wedding bouquet. An alternative wedding bouquet has many advantages, besides the obvious personal touch and having something unusual that many may have not seen done before. If you were to choose a paper bouquet, such as the one in the photo above, it would cost a lot less than real flowers and is a great choice for music lovers!

I love the Alice in Wonderland style button bouquet, great for those fun-loving brides who want to bring some of this nature into their special day. Brooch bouquets, like the one above, are very fashionable, those who have a love for vintage and all things pretty will love this. The seashell bouquet is perfect for a destination wedding or someone who loves spending time at the beach. If you might be a little apprehensive about steering clear of a floral bouquet, you can always opt for a silk flower bouquet. You wouldn’t even know the difference, as you can see in the one above!

And lastly, choosing a wedding bouquet such as the ones we have spoken of is guaranteed to last a lot longer than your traditional real flower bouquet. What better a keepsake to cherish from your day (just make sure to retrieve it after you toss it into the crowd) , you may even root it out some day to renew your vows!
