Bridal Hair Style - Summer Trends 2013

Okay, let’s be frank, bar the dress and maybe the groom, your hair has to be one of the most important parts of your wedding day. Any woman worth her salt will know that the dress and the make up could be amazing but if you don’t get the hair done properly you might as go home! Well that’s taking it quite seriously but you know what we mean.

Bottom line is you want to look your best. Fortunately for us, wedding hair trends have become a lot more relaxed with up dos and more ethereal looks – Yay! No more tight curly dos and hairspray that could put another hole in the Ozone Layer.

Be kind to your hair and air (see what we did there?) with these summer trends:

Vintage

Think Veronica Lake but more Lana Del Ray. Vintage is here to stay for another little while (probably thanks to The Great Gatsby) but we’re okay with that. Soft finger waves are the key here and will have a varied look throughout the day. Ask your hairdresser to brush the curls out lightly for a more wavvy look.

Braids

Or plaits as we like to call them! Ethereal and romantic, who does love a nice plait? It’s another trend that’s here to stay and is best worn a little tousled and worked in to the hair. There are SO many ways to try this look. Here’s a great archive post from Beaut for a little inspiration!

Waves

Beach waves and mermaid curls are so ridiculously popular right now. If this look is a bit too casual for you, make it more formal with centre parting and a little back combing. we’re thinking more Kim K not Snooki…
